Stage 1 - Treatment of Manure Inside Sheds
We treat our manure and dry matter with Bio-Defender Animal Husbandry (BDAH), a probiotic early intervention barrier to the proliferation of biological disease agents. This also aids in manure digestion and manages odours from manure and urine present in bedding or yards. BDAH assists in the management of salmonella, faecal coliforms, fungal disease outbreaks, hydrogen sulphide production in faeces and nitrogen release from urine.
Stage 2 - The Groundswell® Process
A catalyst is added to accumulated organic waste residue on the farm. This waste undergoes a continuous fermentation process (patented) using IR and UV light. It sequesters carbon from the air and converts the organic matter into topsoil via bacterial photosynthesis. This low emissions process is distinct from any traditional composting process. Rather than releasing carbon (CO2) and methane (CH4) into the atmosphere it captures both of these gases and biologically produces water as part of the process. The result of this process is to create a topsoil replacement product called Humisoil®. Humisoil® is a humus rich organic topsoil enhancer encapsulating the key technologies pioneered by VRM BioLogik® for soil enhancement and nutrient management.
Stage 3 - Humisoil® & XLR8 Bio
Once we have produced the Humisoil® we combine it with an organic catalyst. XLR8 Bio is an accelerant that stimulates biological reactions in soil which enhance carbon sequestration and biological nitrogen fixation to continue feeding plants after fertilising. This enables Sunrise to reduce the volume of inputs from other fertilisers / herbicides as the microbial activity charged in the soil from the XLR8 Bio begins to thrive.
Stage 4 - Napier Grass Production
By following this process our aim is to provide a nutrient rich environment in which the napier grass can grow. Applying Humisoil® creates a carbon sink that continues to capture carbon during the growing process and beyond. Creating this environment enables the napier grass to reach its natural genetic potential without using synthetic fertilisers. This means producing healthier feed that is good for the environment and good for our cows. The grass we produce will be fed to our own cows creating a sustainable, circular economy at our site or sold within the local Malaysian market or overseas as a silage product.
